Ok, so here's the deal. I'm writing a book. I've decided to post the first chapter, and possibly the other ones, depending on if I ever feel like it.
Summary:
Lilura Castello is stuck in detention. Again. But this time is different. It's Saturday, the teacher is gone, and she's trapped in a cafeteria with six other degenerates. Including her enemy, Karter Spark. All goes fine until they steal the janitor's keys and wind up on the roof. Lilura falls off-
-and lands in Karter's arms; four stories below.
She becomes suspicious as to how he could get down from the roof and catch her, so she decides to follow him home. She finds that Karter has a secret: He's a sorcerer. She gets caught in the crossfire of his powers...and gains the ones hiding inside of her.
Armed with her new powers, she must ban together with her detention-mates in order to save a world made up of lies and destroy an ancient evil that threatens to crush her, her friends, her family, and the one person she loves most.
Yea, I'm bad at summaries, so it seems kinda cliche. The book doesn't start with her in detention, it starts with her getting detention. And...that's about it.

First Page, and Half of Second Page:
It was a dream.
I know, how cliché, right? Like you haven't heard that one before.
Whatever, live with the lameness. At least it's not “once upon a time”.
Moving on.
This was more of a message then a dream. From my subconscious mind that seemed to know everything. I paid extremely close attention to my messages/dreams/some sort of visions.
In this one, I was walking. Walking down a path that stretched from my school in to...blackness, a far away black hole that acted as the path's end. I could see it all the way from here. It looked like a far journey that would actually be quicker then expected.
As I walked, the school began to dissolve, I knew without looking. Around me, people with unrecognizable faces appeared, watching my journey. A weight made my shoulders heavy. I assumed it was the newly fallen rain, the drops being released by the angry clouds above.
Lightning flashed. People called my name. The world turned red, and then blue, and then red again. Blood and bruises. My chest hurt. The thunder turned in to a deep, dark laughter. My name turned in to a scream. A thousand emotions washed over me like a tidal wave. I felt them distantly, like I was only remembering how they felt.
A row of people stood in front of the black hole. People I needed to remember. People I had to remember. But there faces were blurs.
And then I was running. Running from everything, running from nothing, running just to run. I couldn't make it, could I? The clock was ticking, everyone and everything depended on me.
I reached for something around my neck. I needed it to make it. I had to get through to the black hole that was slipping through my fingers. I had to. Everything depended on me.
I had to-
“Ms. Castello!”
“Wha?” I asked, immediately woken from my...unplanned afternoon nap, the dream already slipping away.
“Is my teaching interrupting your napping?” Mrs. River asked.
“Uh, yeah, lil' bit.” I replied. Laughter roared around me as the teacher attempted to glare holes in to my head. I sighed and stood, my chair screeching as it slid back. I walked up to the teacher, who already had the slip in her hand.
“Tell Principal River I said hi.” She said. I took the slip and walked out of the room, hands in my uniform's jacket pockets.
“How is it fair that her stupid husband is the principal? Where's the ref on that?” I mumbled to myself as I made my way to the office, again. You know how they have regulars at bars? My situation was like that, except with the office.
My heels clacked against the tile floor as I made my way through hallway after hallway. It was pretty boring doing this day after day. And...certain people, didn't make it any better. And my dream...it had disappeared. I could only remember running to...something. An important something. But what?
I reached the double office doors and pushed them open, greeting a light green, boring room filled with delinquents and old ladies. I looked over at the usual spot in the corner-
-and my eyes met Karter's.
I flipped him the bird.
Then I simply looked away and approached the secretary, Ms. Ghrey.
“Welcome back, Lilura.” She greeted while shaking her head. I beamed at her. I was one of her favorite students, even though I was always in the office.
She took my slip, read it over, and then she picked up the phone. She waved me away. I flipped my hair back and sat down as far away as I could from Karter. I crossed my arms and legs, and stared at the walls as if there was something interesting on them.
“Hey, Ura.” I practically jumped out of my chair. I turned to face Karter. I looked from him, to the spaced out office ladies, and back to him.
“I hate you.” I said. He smirked.
“I know.” I paused.
“Well, uh, good, then. Now that we're on the same page, why the heck are you over here!” I whispered harshly.
“I felt like saying hi, Ura. Been a while, hasn't it? Six days, a week maybe?” He inquired. I glared at him for two reasons. One, my name was Lilura. He's called me Ura ever since we met in, like, the sixth grade. It was extremely annoying. Mostly because I hated him.
Two, I AM NOT IN THE OFFICE THAT MUCH! HE'S ONE TO TALK!
“Yes-it-has-been-a-week.” I mumbled. He continued to grin. “I hate you.”
“You already said that.” He pointed out. I clenched my fists.
“You-”
“Ms. Castello?” I turned. Mrs. Ghrey gestured for me to go in to the office. I sighed, glared at Karter, and made my way to my doom. Muahahahahah.

Lol, yes. DOOM.
Half of Second Page, Third Page

The warden let me off easy today with only a slap on the wrist, a.k.a. a day of detention. Usually I got worse because his wife hated me, which is bias, I might add. But no one gives a rat's behind, so I gotta suck it up and deal with it like a big girl.
Sadly, it was Saturday detention. At least it was Friday, and I could get it over with sooner then later, which was way better.
So, now I was back sitting in my least favorite class, “Free Thinking”. Yes, it's really called “Free Thinking”. It's where we have discussions and learn about religion and sexism and blah blah blah. I only like it because I get to debate with people that are much stupider and ruder then I.
And, of course, I chose to get sent to the office right as debates were starting. So I come in right as the Feminists (our current topic is whether feminists are even needed in our society) are finishing their first debate, which was supposed to be mine. I sunk in to my, seat and a temporary depression.
I couldn't bring myself to listen to the Masochists (not their real name, but it's way funnier), so I dwelled on my dream some more. I loved puzzles and mysteries and all that wonderful junk, but I couldn't seem to solve this particular jigsaw. Like usual, I was driven to complete it no matter what. But, unlike the usual, I felt more of an urgency, to figure it out. It was so...weird, I guess. There wasn't really a word for it that was closer then weird.
For the rest of the day I pondered my strange dream, writing and re-writing possibilities for everything that happened. Before I knew it the final bell had rung and Mr. Schneider was yelling at me to leave.
“Sorry, sorry. I'm leaving.” I said, scooping up my books and standing.
I made my way out of the room, downstairs, and to my small, crappy little paint-chipped locker. I managed to cram my books inside, get my messenger bag out and shove all of my homework in to it. It's a good thing I didn't ride the bus, I spent more time trying to close my bag then paying attention in math.
I shouldered my bag and pulled my skateboard out of my locker.
~*~*~
“Meare!” I called as I threw my shoes in to a random corner. I shut the door and kicked my skateboard over to the couch. I walked in to the kitchen.
“Fatin! Meare!” I opened the backdoor and the my dog, Brunette, ran in.
“Hey girl! Where are my sisters?” I asked, scratching her head. She barked and ran upstairs. “Upstairs it is then.” I followed her and ended up in my older sister, Meare's, room. And there she was, my lazy, good-for-nothing sister. I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, but if you asked her what my uniform looked like, she would reply: “Uniform? I thought she went to public school.”.
She was passed out, face-first, in her bed, still wearing her work clothes.
I shook her shoulder and she mumbled something incoherently. I shook her shoulder again. She rolled over. A line of drool stopped at her chin. Her reading glasses were practically shoved in to her face. Her clothes were horribly wrinkled because she couldn't take care of anything, including her sisters.
I sighed and pulled off her glasses, setting them on the bedside table. I took off her blazer, hung it up, took off her shoes, undid her bun, and then pulled a blanket over her. I swear, half the time I can convince myself that I'm the legal guardian.
I closed her door and looked around for Fatin, but she was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, my phone started singing “I'm A Barbie Girl”. Fatin!
“Fatin?”
“WHY AM I STILL AT SCHOOL!?” She yelled. I blinked a couple times, rubbed my ear, and spoke.
“You're still at school? Son of a...Meare must've fallen asleep as soon as she got home.”
“Thank you for pointing out the obvious, but could you please - GET ME HOME!” I sighed.
“Count to ten, put your head between your knees, breathe deeply, and I'll be there as soon as I can.”
“But you can't dri-” I hung up and closed my eyes. Oh my God, this was bad. This was bad and, of course, I had to fix it. Crap, crap, crap. What do I do when I'm screwed?
I ran out of the house, in to my backyard, hopped the fence, and then pounded on the adjacent window of the next house.
After about ten pounds, the window opened and a very angry face appeared.
“What the heck, Lil?!” Kenyon asked.
Kenyon was my best friend. I'd known him since he'd moved in years ago.
Kenyon had longish, spiky brown hair and vibrant, bright green eyes.

And he was thin, with a somewhat athletic build from baseball. He had changed from his uniform in to black under armor and slightly baggy jeans.
“Ken-yon I'm pretty sure my lazy sister is drunk as a skunk and she'll never wake up and even if she does she can't drive 'cause she'll get a DUI and I don't think it's good for a lawyer to do illegal things and Fatin's still at school and she is mad and her temper is even worse then mine which is pretty amazing but the point is you gotta help me!” I whined.
Kenyon looked me up and down, sighed, and then disappeared, shutting the window in turn. I huffed and tapped my foot, hands on my hips, waiting impatiently.
The sound of a garage door whirring open startles me a bit. I turn and-
“AH!” I yelled, jumping about a foot in the air. I put my hand over my heart as I panted heavily.
“Oh my God you are like a freaking ninja!” I proclaimed between breaths.
Mike grinned.
“Come on.” He said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me around to the front of the house. I moved my bangs over my face so that he couldn't see me blushing. What? He may have been my best friend, but he was still a pretty cute guy.
He let go of me when we'd gotten to the garage, and he dashed in. I heard a lot of things crashing and metal clanking against more metal. I was about to go make sure he wasn't crushed to death, when he came out with his skateboard and his bike.
“Your sister can skateboard, right?” He asked. I nodded.
“Good. Here.” He threw the board at me and I (barely) caught it. Mike sat down on his mountain bike (which he one day hoped would be a motorcycle) and started pedaling down the street.
“Hey! Wait!” I yelled, dropping the board. I stood on it and started moving.
