Yes, it is one of the national dishes of Belgium. The reason for why they are named french fries is probably because pommes frites is french.

p.s. french is a major language in belgium so the person called them pommes frites.

With your post script, that is what I meant. I am moving there, of course I know it's one of the major languages there.

Also, I will have to disagree about your reason for why they seem to be french - some reading proves that when the english army got into Belgium during the first World War, they got served pommes frites and thought of the name french fries, because the Belgian army spoke mainly french.

I like to eat a lot variety of foods especially traditional and mom's made(which is why I'm fat)except several type of veggies. My fav often changes depend on when I missed a food but I think I'm in love towards Tongseng Kambing or Mutton Curry.

The misconception that "Hamburgers will make you fat" is just that... a misconception. It's McDonald's hamburgers that make you fat as they literally grind sugar into their meat among other things. Also you have to eat ALL McDonald's food all the time and never exercise. :D

well, missing a throw at the ground wouldn't necessarily make someone stupid. Look at Steven Hawkings he probably couldn't throw a bottle at the ground but he isn't exactly stupid ;):D
