Last month I went to the Bangkok International Game Festival (http://thaiwonders.com/design/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=184&topic=167.0) - it's like a demo showcase of new games from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region. To my big surprise and delight, I came across a playable demo of Bunni 2!
My first impression was like wow. The look and feel of the game have been significantly changed to follow MMORPG standards; gorgeous life-like graphics illustrate huge expanses of worlds, full of characters that show cuteness that we got to expect from the first game.
Speaking of characters: pandas and foxes were playable characters in the demo (see pics on the bottom). It seems that now you can specify the gender, as I saw a male panda and a female fox.
The characters now have weapons (and pretty cool ones at that), suggesting a completely different type of gameplay this time. Sadly there was not much to do gameplay-wise other than walking around and interact with the other players. But it's only a demo after all.
All in all, I'm looking forward to play this game, which is to be released early next year, according to the signs at the booth. Also, congrats to Andre for this clever marketing; the two Bunni2 promo girls in playboy-looking bunni-suits stirred quite a lot of attention from the visitors! ;-) First the Peach dance and now this, lol.

None of these pics have been manipulated in any way (other than resize/cropping). Sorry for the bad quality; taking photos of a monitor introduced some artifacts.

If you choose Fox, this is what you get. Look at that bushy tail! She looks like she was inspired from Screwball's "foxy playa" character, doesn't she? :)

I know, this one looks an awful lot like the panda head was just photoshopped onto a generic warrior, but this is how it looked like in the game. Not very convincing, but hopefully the final release will look better.

These promogirls helped a lot to make Bunni2 stand out from the crowd. I asked one of them to do the Peach dance, but she didn't seem to know what I'm talking about. Maybe this is not Bunni 2 after all?
No, it isn't. But thanks for playing along. Did you figure that it's a hoax, and if so, at what point? Be honest. :-p Also, would you play Bunni2 if it was like the one I described? :pandaghostking:
