Last month I went to the Bangkok International Game Festival (http://thaiwonders.com/design/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=184&topic=167.0) - it's like a demo showcase of new games from the Asia/Australia/Pacific region. To my big surprise and delight, I came across a playable demo of Bunni 2!

My first impression was like wow. The look and feel of the game have been significantly changed to follow MMORPG standards; gorgeous life-like graphics illustrate huge expanses of worlds, full of characters that show cuteness that we got to expect from the first game.

Speaking of characters: pandas and foxes were playable characters in the demo (see pics on the bottom). It seems that now you can specify the gender, as I saw a male panda and a female fox.

The characters now have weapons (and pretty cool ones at that), suggesting a completely different type of gameplay this time. Sadly there was not much to do gameplay-wise other than walking around and interact with the other players. But it's only a demo after all.

All in all, I'm looking forward to play this game, which is to be released early next year, according to the signs at the booth. Also, congrats to Andre for this clever marketing; the two Bunni2 promo girls in playboy-looking bunni-suits stirred quite a lot of attention from the visitors! ;-) First the Peach dance and now this, lol.

Pics:
None of these pics have been manipulated in any way (other than resize/cropping). Sorry for the bad quality; taking photos of a monitor introduced some artifacts.

If you choose Fox, this is what you get. Look at that bushy tail! She looks like she was inspired from Screwball's "foxy playa" character, doesn't she? :)

I know, this one looks an awful lot like the panda head was just photoshopped onto a generic warrior, but this is how it looked like in the game. Not very convincing, but hopefully the final release will look better.

These promogirls helped a lot to make Bunni2 stand out from the crowd. I asked one of them to do the Peach dance, but she didn't seem to know what I'm talking about. Maybe this is not Bunni 2 after all?

No, it isn't. But thanks for playing along. Did you figure that it's a hoax, and if so, at what point? Be honest. :-p Also, would you play Bunni2 if it was like the one I described? :pandaghostking:

Awwww so there isn't a BunniBunni2 Spin-off game in which you have some generic warriors barely resembling what they're meant to beating each other to death? Way to raise my hopes then brutally crush them Siamjai >=(.
Although my suspicions were raised at the fox, the Panda warrior sealed the deal. The body looks far to fake compared to the head, dead give away there

Yeah, I know what you mean, lol. :-D

You know what's funny? That panda-warrior actually looks like that in the game! I know it looks so silly, I could do a lot better if I actually tried to fake it. ;)

Probably not many, since I gave it away at the end. ;)

The whole idea started when I saw that foxy girl in the game - it reminded me of you. Then I saw the panda, and I was like, this is it. ^_^

Edit:
Btw, the original game is called "Perfect World"; here is a poster from it:

And here is another generic warrior (http://www.cubizone.in.th/v2/images/screenshots/wmpw/04.jpg) with a gigantic weapon, for Nick - hey, this time it's a tiger head, woohoo! :-D

Good observation, Madi. :)

That tag and the fact that this topic was posted in Junkyardia could have tipped off the observant immediately even before reading what's inside. ;)

And who would use weapons and armor in Bunni? Bunni is only a children content, not some rated T where people cuss each other out.

What? It's for children? This is an outrage!

You never see violence in Bunni. You never see blood in Bunni. You never see cuss words in Bunni. You don't see nudity in Bunni. (the Peach dance doesn't count.) You don't even see excessive romance in Bunni! D< So it's for children.

Don't tell me smb is for children too? (Killing mushrooms does not count as violence) And what about kirby? He never kills anyone, just eats them. :monsterhappy:

Hmmm good point Love. Bunni might have adult and more mature joining members but we have to think of the littler ones.
