You said "Me writing it all". Does that mean you don't want anyone else to post?

Yes, because he is writing us a story, meaning he isn't making an rp... I don't see the problem with this?

I wrote the exact phrase "Me writing it" because I couldn't figure out how to put it without seeming like a buttface! lol! :P
And thanks about the tags! It took me a whole 2 seconds to come up with those!

Chapter 1: It's just the Beginning!

Crash! Rin dropped to the ground from her bed. It was a good thing that a simple peasant bed was only a foot, maybe two feet if they were a "rich" peasant, off the ground. The one think blanket she had over her bed was tangled on her foot, trapping her right leg on top of the bed so she was in a very awkard faceplant.
Rin's dad walked into the room, and looked down at her laughing his huge boom of a laugh. "Looks like The Wind blew you off you bed, eh?" he said.
"Trust me... This wasn't The Wind Faries..." Rin said as she was rolling over onto her back to get her foot out of the blanket.
"Then twas it The Eart?"
"Of course not! You know just as well as me that they couldn't possibly have snuck in here!" Rin backfired, "The Earth's are to big for our houses!"
"Ah... never underestimate the ability of em though... They can be very tricky!" Rin's dad walked out of the room in laughter.

(New chapters start whenever you see Chapter 2: and so on. Im going to upload in little pieces. :P)

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" Rin thought in her head. She was talking about her dad, and maybe a little bit about herself. Rin stood up and slipped on her work dress and apron. She looked like her mom in this dress, maybe because it used to be hers. the plain white body of the dress was dirtied with mud and stains from who knows what and the deep indigo outlines that had to have cost a fortune. Or maybe just because she actually looked fairly similar to her mom. She had long light brown hair, that draped a little past her shoulders. She was of average height and on her face she had two deep green eyes with a smallish nose and a big mouth. Her ears were unpierced, which meant she hadn't reached womanhood yet. It was almost apon her though. Just a few weeks untill she would have to go to the dreaded piercer.

Even with that coming up she still didn't act like she noticed. Her and her dad were to busy with preparations. This year the Royal Court decided it would be a good year to recruit double the number of guards for the city. That meant twice the usual work for her dad. He was a smith of course. And he was also was one of the main suppliers of armor and weaponry for the City Guard.

Rin heard the thud of her dad putting his hammer on the the table next to the anvil. He was starting to work on a chest piece to a suit of heavy armor, this one was going to a castle guard. They were the only ones with heavy armor.

Then a sharp clang! followed by four more rung in Rin's ears. The metal was being formed by blows from his hammer. A sizzle then noted the end of that set of blows. As he had to cool down the armor and then warm it back up again, to make the metal gradually harder and the heat makes it bendable.

"Rin! Git over here!" Her dad yelled from his smithing shed.
Rin started walking over to the shed that was right next to the house. She had to go out onto the street busy street and fight her way through the crowd to get to it. "What do you need?" she asked peering her head into open shed.

Her dad was standing, examining the chestpiece. "Look at this and tell me what you think," he said while handing it to her.

Rin examined it for a minute and said, "I don't see anything wrong with this."

"And that is where yor wrong darlin'," he said back. "Look right 'ere. See how that is a little thin?"

"Yea... but what's that matter?"

"Life and death! You know that! A decent sword could poke itself right through that!"

"Oh.... sorry?"

"Fine..." Her dad said with a sigh, "You goin' to the market today?"

"Mmhm..." Rin said looking down at the table where a sword lay.

"Make sure you git me some..."

"I know, I know! Ill get them!" Rin knew exactly what "some" were. He wanted her to get him some cigars, they were hard to come by and he didn't like to admit he liked them.

I hope you don't mind, I moved this to art showcase because it was more of artwork/story writing than an rp or forum game. Looks good.

(getting oranges was changed to cigars! :P)

Rin walked back inside the house and grabbed the purse that held all of the family's money. She shook it a few times in her hand, then set it back down. "It helps to change first," she said to herself. She went to her room and got out of her work dress and put on her white day gown that had some red touches on it around the chest and shoulders. She went back to the table and found the purse still sitting there and then tied it around her waist with the rag of a cloth they had always used for that purpose. She sighed, giving herself a quick look in the waterbowl and decided she would have to go now.

The market was full of people. Everywhere you went you would either have to run into someone or somehow navigate strategically through the crowd to not end up with someones elbow in your side, gut or if the other person was in a particular hurry your face. The market was full of theives so you would imagine that the city folk called it "Assassin's Folly".

Rin fought her way through the crowd to the best of her abillity. Which wasn't much considering her age, and the fact that she was merely a girl. She somehow managed to get over to the tobacco vendor somewhat unscathed.

She turned to the vendor and asked, "Can You get me a case of cigars?"

"You seem a little young to be wantin' cigars lady."

"They are't for me! There for my dad!"

"That's what they all say! I'll tell ya what... I don't want to know about your little excuses. Just pay for them and both of us can be on our way."

Rin reached down it get her purse. She felt for it on her waist, but it was gone.
