I personally don't like pets, whether it be cats or dogs or etc.
I do like eating dogs, though.

I used to have pets, and will probably get a cat some time in my life. But to be honest, getting pets is kinda... detrimental in the end. If you love your pets, you will outlive them and ultimately become hurt when they die.
I do like eating dogs, though.
You only said that to make a reaction. "I EAT DOG! Isn't that just WRONG?"

Uh.. may I saw no.
I really do eat dogs, and I like to, although I can't a lot since I live in Canada. I went to South Korea once and to a city called Pusan (I think? Can't remember) and tried dog stew out. It was quite tasty really, tasted like lamb.

Well, I went to the supermarket here in Brussels the other day and found some frozen rabbit filets. No one would eat, or sell, that in Sweden.
And I do not have any pets. I often answered that question with having two brothers before, but they do not live with the family anymore, even though one of them is visiting us now, on his vacation. :)

My parents had nine cats: Bill, leo, stormy, lucky, bandit, fortune, licorice, cupcake, and cameo. I took cupcake when I moved, and bill died a few months ago. They also have two dogs, snowflake and cinnamon. I'm not giving descriptions, because it would take too long.

I live in a rented unit, so the only pets I'm allowed are fish (not that I'm complaining I love fish) I have two siamese fighting fish, ones called yellow fish coz he's yellow and the other is called sonic (my friend named him that) coz he's blue.
At my parents house I have a rainbow lorikeet called Morgan (this is my bird, I got him on my 9th birthday), 3 cockatiels I don't really care about (they aren't mine) a white oriental siamese cat called Meowies and 2 dogs a cavalier king charles spaniel called Sally and an Australian Silky Terrier called Shiloh.
I used to have a miniature chihuahua called Chloe that we were looking after for someone, but they didn't want her back so she became my dog. She died at 18 years old (I was also 18 at the time) and I felt like a part of me was ripped out of my soul and died as well. Even though she was not with me my whole life she was with me for most of it and yea I agree with Pirate Foxes, it is completely devastating when you lose a pet you are really attached to. Consider getting a parrot for a pet, they live for ages. Lorikeets live for at least 30 years if not more, and I've seen a 110 year old cockatoo as well...

I have 2 shih tsus. =3 Both the result of my cousin's lack of interests. The first one, she got tired of it almost as soon as she bought. So that little poochie had been under my care since then. The second one, she took care for a while, then using the excuse of being busy with work, she put the poor thing in pet hotel for the longest time and passed it around to my aunts to take care for her until my mom couldn't take it anymore. So now, both of them are at my house permanently. =/

Missy, your cousin is like me. I like having pets and feels they are cute and cuddly, but i never keep take caring them, ended my mom take care them.
At least now i get more mature, i know i should avoid buying pets.
My favourite pets was a black with white 'collar' rabbit named klin and a grey stripped domestic wild cat named meong which i can call by 'meowing' at him.
Atm my little brother have a lot of fishes and eels.
I ever eat dog meat but funnily i never eat rabbit meat even that they are more common. Maybe since i still attached to klin when im at the rabbit stew place. They kill a rabbit right when you other the meal. I think i will encounter rabbit stew in here and eat some. Monster supposed to eat bunni...

@rosedragon - Actually, at the moment, my mom is doing most of the work of taking care of them as I'm very busy with school. But I do play with them and bring them for walk every now and then when I'm free. =3

Pets? Not really. We have a green lizard in the house, but he's more like a permanent resident, an independent little fellow. Catches mosquitoes, ants, fruitflies and other buggers that we can happily do without. ;)
By the way, it's funny to see how the eating habits and taboos of different cultures clash. I ate rabbits, chicken head/feet/heart etc. in Europe; grasshoppers, silkworms, pig intestine and blood here in Thailand; raw fermented fish in Laos, and half-raw beef in the US.
Funnily, people from each country are shocked to learn about the eating habits of other nations, while totally convinced that the one they are accustomed to is the only normal food in the universe.

Man, you are lucky to be able to buy meat other than beef, pork or chicken in a store.

Don't let the lizard have lightning bugs, I don't know if its the same with all lizards, but their poisen to the lizard and will kill them pretty fast.

Pets in our house seem to die faster than normal, don't know why.
We, don't have pets anymore. I remember the goldfish that lived for 3 days....................

That's only true with certain pets, I had a tortoise at one point, thing doubled in size in 3 years. It never died but due to moving/care we had to sell it. Its still alive and kicking.
I currently have an obnoxious cat named Tesume(probably spelt wrong meh) That's black and white with a black body white underside/paws white nose. Its very very very curious(yes I know the saying) and has learned how to get into drawers practically when I put her cat toy away -.-. Its also got an attitude that some cats get "I'll be petted by who I want when I want only" , annoying stuck up cat I say >>.

Thanks, Poohbomber! Haven't seen any fireflies here in Thailand, but I'll keep that in mind. :)

Ah. D: Forgetting to feed I will because I'm used to my mom feeding them. =x Cleaning their waste... I don't normally do because I have sensitive skin. D: But when there's nobody around to do it, I will do it.

I've had my yellow siamese fighting fish for over a year now and he's doing fine... perhaps a little fat and depressed from the cold though. Sonic, the blue siamese fighting fish I've had probably 6 months and doesn't seem to mind the cold too much. Goldfish are pretty easy to care for but can be pretty temperamental I suppose. Also if you didn't dechlorinate the water... well let's just say chlorine is really toxic to fish XD.
I used to have an aquarium with tropical fish in it, but everytime i cleaned them out and then the water pH changed and they would die DX in the end I gave up... I'l probably get some more when I get my own house.
Thinking of adding to my fish collection with some goldfish though... if only I could find the species I like XD
Yes, I really love fish as pets. They are great for relaxing. Also despite popular belief you can teach fish a few tricks ;)
