100 Up

[Sticko]

It Started a long time ago, known as the 'Down Age', when everyone lived on the ground. Life was good, and people florished. Then, as they built upwards towards the sky, and man named Morte Tempo built a great building, around 100 stories up, and 100 yards square. It was a magnificent building, and the world was, until a terrible break out happened. Some say it was bombs, some say it was disease, some say both. But the one thing that happened is that the world ended that day. In seeking of protection, a large group of people entered that building, and lived there. They ade sure nobody would get in; Locking all doors, destroying the elevator and the stairs, and moving to the top floor. It was a good, and discrete, society. They made a farm on the roof, housing rooms, generators, everything to keep living. After awhile, the smaller buildings crumbled to the ground, and fog started to condense at the bottom. Only on a few clear days could you look at the mess. So ended the 'Down Age' for the people on the top floors of the building, and so started the 'Up Age'. Now is 87 years in the future. The building feels like it is going to crumble in the next few years. The community still strives, though life is hard. They terribly seek to get the the bottom floor, so they can start a new life in the land that has been redone. They have chosen a few people in there town to go down into the depths of building, and get a way down. They do not know what lurks in the darkness of the building. Can you get down?

Weapon: Sword and a Rifle with 70 bullets, must reload one by one

You could be a gunner, though you would run out of bullets soon.
It's current day technology, except things are limited, so a sword would be good.
Im thinking about having this game dungeon format.

I figured you would need some kind of doctor, someone is bound to get hurt with all those guns and sharp objects.

Description: Young Male in his late teens, Early twenties, has messy long black hair which hes to lazy to trim, above average in height and has pale skin from being indoors during most of the day. Wears a faded red shirt and some black jeans.

Inventory: Generic ration-like food, Some gunpowder, a lighter/pack of matches and a jar which is currently empty

Weapon: two curved blades (one has a blade length of 30 Centimetres, the other is around 45 in blade length, although both are of similiar design. Also has a makeshift flamethrower (carried on his back at all times, but is incredibly reluctant to use it, not having any real way to replace its ammo)

"Wait the buttons have symbols on them" *Karen traces the indents of the arrows with her finger thinking* "I think they point to up or down.... which one did you push Lee. And how do we even know this works anymore?"

"It doesn't seem to work anymore. There are stairs over there though." Pointing just to the left of the elevator.

"I pressed the bottom one, i don't think i could get this working so the stairs sound a good idea"

"Or i could rip off the little wire thingy thats on top of this thing....-Goes on top of thing with the hole in the cieling of it-

This floor is pretty empty, more or less because light is shining from floor 101.))

"I also wasn't chosen for my penmenship," he stated.

"So should we keep heading down or have a look around? Could be pretty likely that something useful was left around on one of these floors"

"I guess there wouldn't be much harm in looking around... just be careful! The medical supplies are running pretty low... which reminds me if we find a medicine cabinet anywhere we should probably raid it..."

"The next ladder should be just over here." Ron said looking at the empty hole where the ladder was supposed to be."Well there should be another one, just past the room to the right and a little further."

"How do you know your way around here so well Ron?" Asked Karen, curious as to know how he knew where all the ladders seemed to be in this place.

[MonsterMiner]

"The directions are next to the broken elevetar." Ron said. (He usually doesn't say elevator so he says it wrong.)

*Had not noticed them and goes over to have a closer look while the others explore the room*

"well... it appears to give you a one word description of what each level contained" she replies noting the appearance of the man beside her. She did not know any of the people in the group, aside from their names, and she felt like the odd one out being the only woman in the group.

Devin scrambles down the ladder, "Sorry I'm late I slept i...where is everyone?" He said and notices the ladder in the elevator shaft, "Ahh.." and begins walking towards it.

Sam, wait no Ron, or was it Will, any way he was wondering why he was being carried, he said," Let GO OF ME!!!" and tried to get down.

Devin got down to see everyone standing on the 98th floor, "Sooo...what'd I miss?"

Ron began looking for the next ladder down, when a weird creature appeared, it had seven arms and two legs, it was holding some sticks with its arms.

"You didn't miss much Devin... someone has already gone crazy and run off into the darkness. Another ran after him and Ron seems to have found some sort of... OMG what IS THAT?"

"It kindof looks, dare i say, Human! I dont know whats happened down there but if this is what we can expect, I pray we can all survive this."

*Removes sticks from arms and looks at them*

"Hmm they seem to be pretty strong, Karen think you could use these as makeshift splints if needed?"

[screwbaII]

"Oh.. it's ... dead..." *stops clutching her heart and reains control of herself* "Um.. yesss... splints... that's a good idea. Mind if someone else carries them then? I kinda have my hands full with this medical kit, it's heavy ya know!" *She grins before going over to examine the dead creature, thinking a short autopsy would probably reveal it died of starvation. It looked like it had not been dead for more than a few days, a week at most she thinks.* "Guys, I think we should be on the lookout, this thing hasnt been dead for more than a week, which means there could still be more around that are alive. Also... I wonder how it got up this far... I mean if these creatures have been expanding upward slowly..." *Karen doesn't finish her sentence, letting the others think of the possible consequences of an unknown species reaching the small towertop paradise...*

Azrael decided to speak up first "Well anything that wants to come up is gonna have to deal with us first, unless theres more than one way through each floor"
Standing over Karen and the dead creature he remembered what she had just said and decides to carry the sticks himself

"These bio syringes aren't unlimited Azrael" she said, "I'm afraid I will not be much use in fighting, as I will only use these under direct threat". *Karen clutches the small holster at her belt containing several syringes secured tightly in their own individual pockets, and notes that Azrael had taken the wooden sticks to carry*

"Don't worry you won't need to use them, well not yet at least but who knows the dangers lower down there may be times when we need you." I also doubt this is the only way up so be careful and watch your backs!"

[screwbaII]

"Will there be a directory on every level do you think? It shows all the ways up, however new ways may have been created in the decay of the building I suppose..."

[inflim]

"Hmm i guess there will be but im not sure" *starts undoing the screws that hold it in place* "Ill have this off in a minute then we at least have a map"

[screwbaII]

"Good idea" *Karen replies, looking around. Was it just her imagination or did something move in the shadows near some boxes*

[Ivernus]

"Good thinking Lee, surprised none of us thought to do that" Azrael said, realising that a map would be very helpful if the directories werent on the other levels. Turnig to Karen "Did you still want to look around while he gets that map off? Might find something else we can use"

"Uh.. I.. I don't think there is anything else of much use in this room..." *decidng she was just seeing things*

"yeah you two look around i should be fine i can hold my own a little but don't expect much from me in a group fight" *carries on unscrewing*

"What is everyone else doing?" Karen asked. Some members of their group were either missing or exploring the room.

[inflim]

"Karen im just wondering how did you get those bio syringes?"

*Finishes unscrewing the map*

"Finally now we at least know where we are going, anyone got a pen incase of map changes?"

Talking to Lee "I don't think so, we had someone ask that awhile ago aswell and I don't think anyone had one"
Looking around he notices a door to the left which seems half open. "Well while we wait for the others to get back I'm going to go check that room over there" he informs Lee and Karen, drawing one of his blades while heading over to open it

In reply to Lee, Karen says "Ah... there is a lab I worked at that experimenting with bio weapons... in case large scale eradication of unknown hostile species was needed when our civilisation headed back down. These are... test strains to see what effect they would have on any creatures we encounter. I have the vaccinations to all of them in here in case someone were to stab themselves with one" she pats the medical kit.

"Yeah i asked before i was just being hopefull... Be careful in there we don't know the contents as the map doesn't have a label on that room"

"So we have no way of making more if you run out? Thats a shame could have been useful"

"Well... there is one way..." She replies looking sideways...

*Pushes the door open slowly, and peers in, but their is not enough light to make out anything in the room at all*
"Hey Karen, you wouldn't mind if I used one of these sticks to make a torch would you?"

[inflim]

"Hmm there is a way but i see that you don't really want to say it must be hard or it has danger. Lighting one of the sticks could be useful as it will be charcoled meaning we could use it to write!"

"Go for it..."

As Renaldo runs he wonders about Lel. He looked human, but Renaldo was having his doubts. 'I'm not like you' I wonder what he meant by that, he thought.

(bleah.So many ladders around here.....)
-pops up by the body-hm.Uuh....-drags the body over into a corner-
Ooohhh >:)....OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM.Hah! there it is.-rips out what seems like a heart-

Hears something being eaten. Hmm, he thought. He stops running, but gets into a defensive stance, then starts speed walking.

Ron (It's ron right?) followed the group after the encounter with the creature which he would call sept-arm (seven arms hehehehe).

Not looking in front of him Lelouche bumped into Renaldo."AHH!-gets ready to tkae a swing-Oh....Its you...

He reacted and smacked him against the wall with the flat of his sword. "Oh," he said, "sorry."

Ron found the next ladder and went down, to only find a sept-arm across the hallway. It was alive and slowly walked towards him. (Also sept is Latin for seven, you could use hept too which is Greek)

Rrrr....Guess you found me.Whatever, I'm going back to the others...I have a bad feeling...

"What do you mean?" he said helping Lel up.

[Riida]

"I have a feeling that another spider humanoid thing smells the dead body and is going to attack the crew."-Grabs renaldo's arm-Wanna get a quick ride?

Samuel used his sword at thrust it at the sept-arm, the sept-arm used one of its arms and hit it away. Samuel with no weapon quickly took a pipe on the ground.

"Uh," he quavered, "What do you mean?"

[Riida]

"A quick way to get to the others......-Has a'I can't believe you're this stupid'look on his face-Its quicker than you running by urself...

[Poohbomber]

"Anything is faster than running by myself!" he exclaimed, indicating his armor. "But, sure if you think you can lift me."

[Riida]

Just hold on to my hand....-grabs renaldo's hand and jumps up-
-Jumping off the sides of walls very fast-Almost there...

[MonsterMiner]

Ron, wait Sam, no ummm, Ron fights the sept-arm with the pipe, but he's losing the battle.

[Riida]

-jumps down the ladder and rushes at the sept-arm-DIIIIIEEEE!!!!!!!!-knocks monster out of the way and bashes it with its arms as fast as the sept-arm is blocking-HELP ME FOR GODS SAKE!!

Jumps down the ladder, makes a thud as he lands on the ground also creating a small crater and swung his longsword at the monster, cutting off two of its arms.

Thanks"-manages to start hitting it-...........Rrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! -jumps at the monster and knocks it down--Slash-OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM

Turns to the side and pukes at what Riida was doing. "Oh, god," he says, "That is disgusting." He's kneeling.

Renaldo thats not what you think....-gets back up and teeth are red-
I ripped its GIANT throat which took a while....

"Right, right," he said groggily, "That's why your teeth are red."

[Riida]

Well if i cut its throat of course bloods gonna come out... ._.;

[Poohbomber]

"But," he said, "On your teeth?"

[Riida]

"Uuhmm...Ok i was a bit hungry but it was just the blood i swear..."

[Poohbomber]

"Urg, thats even worse!" he grunted. "But, forget it lets move on."

[Riida]

Yeah, another one of those might come here...Uuhmm...Can you look away ?im starving...

"oh god, I was right," he said as he turned away.

[Riida]

"Let's go," he said.

"Soo..." Devin looks at the three fumbling to make a torch, "What do you want me to do?"

Ron kept walking down the hallway, and went down the ladder. It was now the 97th floor they were on.

((Hey chok feel free to join :P You can come help me Azrael Devin and Lee... the others have gone crazy and run ahead and gone on a killing spree lol... as for us we are investiating rooms and stuff for clues as to what has happened, and also seeing if we can raid any resources. Because of the time zones half the people are on at one time and half the people are on at the other so the only way this could work is if we are separated into two groups. Up to you who you join though :P)

Grabbing one of the sticks, Azrael dusts the top if it very lightly with some gunpowder before outstreching his arm and using his lighter on the top of the stick. There was quick flickers of flame and a small popping sound as the gunpowder quickly caught alight and combusted, before finally the stick caught alight, giving the group a torch for a while.
Looking back at Devan "Want to give me a hand to look in here? Might be something hostile in here and this torch isnt really the best of weapons to be using"

Karen watches as Devin follows after Azrael, and she peered in the door into the now, dimly lit room. She guessed that Lee was still fiddling with the map and working out routes down.

(Crazy you don't mind if we control your character while youre out then right?)

Devin whipped out his old barbed spear and walked behind Azreal, looking in all directions cautiously, "Keep your eyes open." he said and gripped his spear with both hands.

"So what now, Lelouch?" he asked.

Stepping into the room, Azrael saw something flicker on the edge of the vision and spun to face the corner of the room. All he saw was a flickering shadow from a peice of paper on top of a crate, fluttering occasionally. Sighing, he wondered if there might be something in the crate, after all someone had gone to the effort of labelling it so it had to contain something. Turning to Devin while he pulled out one of his blades, he pointed to the crate "Im gonna see whats in the crate, can you keep my back covered? I get a feeling were not alone in this room

"Okay, got your back." Redia said and put his back to Azreal's. Looking off into the darkness reminded him of childhood when his mother was hiding from his drunken dad, it didn't frighten him, but instead angered him.

Reaching the crate, Azrael ripped the peice of paper off and attempted to read it. Unfortunatly though, the paper was both faded and seemed to have red spots obscuring most of the letters. Sighing to himself and let the paper drop to the ground while he attemped to open the crate. Attempting to lift the lid yeilded nothing, and exploring it he found a lock at the side.
"Hey Devin could you hold the torch for a sec? Gonna see if I can bust this lock with my blade"

"Okay." He said and managed to grab the torch without turning around, "That better have something worth while in it." He finished now spotting red eyes looking at them from a corner. "We are being watched, but you continue I'll tell you if it starts approaching.

Spots the same set of red eyes that Devin had spotted as he moved the crate to allow him access to the lock. Tracing his hand over the lock, he found it was rusted, obviously it had been here for a long time. Continuing, hefelt around till he found the screws that held the lock in place. Using his blade he quickly stabbed into the wood around the hinge, loosing it enough for him to pry the first one off. It fell to the ground with a clatter, causing a scurrying sound from above. Looking up Azrael saw another set of red eyes moving across the ceiling.
"Theres another one above us Devin" he whispered, drawing his other blade incase they attacked

"Man, I'm here for five seconds and I'm already having to fight." Devin mumbled and swung his spear up in the air to try to scare off the little bugger. "You better hurry!" He yelled as the red pair of eyes in the corner slowly moved towards them, "One is coming!"

"Guys... just get out. Whatever's in that crate is not important enough to be eaten over" said Karen also seeing the eyes appearing around the room and felt her hand move to her belt

((Class: A close combat fighter specialized in knives.

Name: Testlra.

Description: Being a calm person that hardly got stressed she was. One could often find her in tense situations - where everyone else were rushing - walking there. She wore a cape with a hood over her clothes, mostly to hide her knives, actually. Physically Testlra was quite short, merely 161 cm, and also very light. This, however, all added up her speed, which was her ultimate trump card. Under the hood, once she actually took it off, one would see a rather pretty face, although somewhat haunted by scars.

Inventory: About twenty knives, although there could very well be more hidden in her socks and shoes.

Weapon: Knives.))



Testlra came from the top. She had been told up there that the adventurers could use her when trying to reach the ground. So she had been walking down. And today, finally, she found some of the adventurers. She slowly approached, knowing that those persons had been fighting for their lives now. She put the knife she was holding in her left hand down in a holster somewhere on left thigh, then swiftly got her cape around her again.

"Hello." She said, steadily looking into the eyes of those in front. "I come from the top, looking to aid you."

*Karen looks up as another person climbs down the ladder* "Hi, you're a little late, but I think we need all the help we can get right now..." Says Karen to the newcomer... "My name's Karen and that's Lee over there" points to Lee still fiddling with the map. "The two guys in the room about to be attacked are Devin and Azrael... and I think... we are going to have to help them!"

"Very well." Testlra let out, dragging one of the sleeves of her clothes up under the cape, grabbing two knives with handles made out of brass knuckles.

*Folds up map and puts into pocket*

"Well guess they need help"

*Starts running into other room*

*Watches in horror as the creatures descend upon them. Azrael continuing to try and open the box and the others all drawing their weapons in preparation for a fight.*

As the eyes moved closer, Azrael knew it was to late to get out and quickly stood up, back to back with Devin as the creature on the ceiling dropped in the corner behind them, while the other one crawled along the floor towards them.
"Well I hope you can handle yourself Devin" Azrael muttured, as the creature reached the edge of the light, revealing itself to be similiar to the corpse that they had encountered earlier

As she calm but swiftly and precise uppercut one of the monsters with the knuckle part of her left weapon, Testlra makes a gracious pirouette, forcing the blade of the left knife in the throat of the next one. She drops the left weapon where it is and grabs another knife in the same move. Then she stands there. Waiting for them. Taunting them, to make the next move.

((I am off to shop for some hours now, if needed, you have the permission to control my character. Just don't have her killed. :) ))

*watches the newcomer take out several of the monsters and admires their skill. However a little repulsed from the fighting she steps back a little from the door, as a blood spray flew across at her from the neck wound of one of the creatures*

There seemed to be more creatures than what Azrael had originally thought, for some reason they we're all being drawn to this location, 'but what could be attracting them?' Not having time to ponder, Azrael quickly stepped into the creature facing him as it lunged, his left blade crashing into what seemed to be a steel pipe the creature was using. The collision threw both of them off balance, but Azrael's foward mometumn carried him into the creature, his other blade peircing its chest, causing it to screech in pain giving him an opportunity to rip the blade out a land a kick on its chest, causing further pain and sending it spiralling into the corner.

*If Karen had not been used to blood she thought, she would probably have fainted by now. Because it was being sprayed everywhere. She did not realise that there was a creature behind her and it grabbed her around the body. Karen screamed and reacted faster than she could think, grabbing one of the syringes and stabbing the creature on one of the arms that was holding her, injecting all of the contents into it. The creature reeled back and she watched as within 30 seconds it's eyes became dead as the parasite attacked it's central nervous system almost instantly sending it limp. It would die a few minutes later as its neurons had the myelin stripped from them and then eventually the neurons themselves would be devoured as well.
It worked faster than the original tests in the labs showed... which frightened her. Even with an antidote if this parasite got into any of them, if the antidote wasnt given within seconds they would have no hope of recovery.
Wanting to see if she could recycle the parasite by drawing it out of the blood stream of the now dead creature and injecting it into another one she took the empty syringe and took blood from the dead creature, and tucked the syringe back into her belt.

((also for anyone who doesnt know, neurons are simply the cells that make up your brain and spinal cord that provide communication to the rest of the body. Myelin is like an insulator found on the axons of neurons that is required for super fast communication. Sort of like the coating around electrical wires that you see, I suppose would be the best way of describing it. Don't worry too much about it though if you don't get this.))

((ha ha nanotech isn't my field I'm afraid v.v I think I'll leave that to the engineers... I will actually be assessing brain damage and working with people who have had brain damage due to head traumas. you'd be surprised that most people do actually have minor brain damage, it's just passed off as 'character flaws' however. But enough of that, let's get back to this rp :P))

"Yea, but I think I will be able to recycle the parasite as there should be traces of it in the blood stream of it's victims... to be honest I didn't expect it to work that fast... but the blood will work slower than the pure strains I think..." She bites her lip a little worried. "The thing is I think the parasite is evolving quickly in them so I would like to avoid using them. If it becomes airborne it could be extremely hazardous and if it develops into a new strain......... the antidotes won't work.... The parasite can not stay alive in a dead host for more than a minute, so it has little time to adapt. This is probably why it is evolving so fast in the syringes I suppose... anyway now to test if the blood taken from the dead one will work on another one in the same way..."

Karen jumps at another creature that appeared behind [chok's character that i can't remember the name of] and plunges the syringe deep into the creatures neck. The creature screams in pain. As she predicted the parasite was slower to take hold but the effects were exponential when they did and the creature died as painfully as the one the original blood was from.
Pleased with the result she drew some blood from the dead creature. The parasite could be recycled via the blood of it's dead hosts...

For a second stunned by amazement of the fighting technique of Karen, Testlra ((whom you are free to simply call Tes)) drew another three, long and very thin knives, holding them between her fingers on the right hand. With the words "You are, after all, not the only one using bios." she ducks in synch with a new pirouette, spinning around. At the same time, she lets go of one knife at a time, letting them fly through the air, piercing the enemies throats, which is Tes' favorite place to aim at. The enemies do, by reflex, grab their faces, tearing it, trying to rid the pain and hallucinations caused by the poison the knives was filled with.

"I do not have a single clue of how that works*, but it does." She said, looking fascinated at the monsters.

((*Why that isn't really true, I didn't want Tes to know, because it does not fit her. I for one, do know, however. :) ))

((Just for future reference and a bit of information as well :) bio weapons are actually 'germs' (bacteria, viruses, parasites) created for the soul purpose of killing things. If the poison comes from the biproducts of these I think it's still classified as a bio weapon, if not then it's just poison XD and probably closer to chemical weapons. Not saying it can't be bio weapon poison just making the definition and distinction clear for everyone XD))

*Watches Tes and wonders where she got the poison from* "Nice aim Tes, where did you get the poison from if I may ask...?"

((I am, as mentioned, aware, and the fact is that the poison is the later, rather than the first. Tes does not know this, however, since she hardly cares how it works, as long as it works. :) ))

While keeping on slaughtering approaching creatures, Tes answers "A professor of some sort up on hundredth gave them to me as I was about to leave. He told me they might become helpful."

"Ah, probably not..." She said. "... Although, I think I'll have enough weapons for at least a couple of fights." She continued while opening her cape, revealing dozens and dozens of knives, where one of her thigh there was a bandage holster, carrying poison knifes all around the leg, only missing the three used ones.

"I did not arrive unprepared, you know."

As the last monster dropped to a knife to the throat Karen looked around. They were all alive and relatively unscathed, if but a little shaken, and the monsters seemed to had all been killed. "Well I guess that's the end of that then..." said Karen, "Someone gonna open that box now?"

Starts running towards the other group.

"Uhm, yeah. Someone take care of that." Tes mumbled while pacing along the floor, picking knives up and cleaning them.

(I guess we'll just finish off any part of the fight we were still in then)

Moving in on the creature in the corner Azrael saw it struggle to get up, the pain obvious from its movements. Looking at the creature again he saw it staring behind him, at Lee and it was then he realised why so many creatures had appeared. The light from the torch had attracted them, beckoned the creatures to come investigate this strange phenomenon before them. Moving closer the creature seemed not to notice him, still captivated by the torch. Not waiting for it to realise his presence, he brought his blade in an upwards motion, peircing the creatures neck and puncturing into its head. The creature flailed wildly for afew moments, struggling to stop the pain, before finally becoming limp on the blade.
Grunting, Azrael pulled the body off and let it fall to the ground and checked on everyone else. It seemed everyone had managed to hold their own in this fight, and there even appeared to be a newcomer talking with Karen. Listening he then heard Karen say "Someone gonna open that box now?"
"Yeah I'll finish opening it.." Azrael says just loud enough for the others to hear, as he kneels infront of the box again, his dagger picking at the wood to loosen the final part of the lock

As he runs his armor is clanking, he is also getting closer to the group.

[Crazy]

Devin wouldn't be able to hold up much longer the creatures were mobbing him and he was only using his spear with one arm. Sooner or later they were gonna have him on the ground and be biting into his neck.

"Ack...this is getting tiresome we gotta get out!" He yelled in fright as one caught his leg with its claw. It would be pitch black if he dropped the torch so he gripped it harder and started swinging his spear instead of stabbing, which surprisingly made it easier to continue.

"Hey! Do you guys need help?" yelled Renaldo coming into view.

Ron helped the person attack the sept-arm.

"Never... Woah! ... said you were," he said while dodging, and then he cut off three of it's arms.

"I'm talking, about...the others.Either way, You're okay in my book.Now, lets end this..."-jumps onto the sept-arms back-

((Oh right, well the fighting is over XD I think crazy was just a bit slow on that, but now everyone has caught up to each other it makes sense now. "Oh hey, guys" said Karen, breaking her gaze away from Azrael opening the box. "We thought you had rushed ahead without us and were half way to the bottom already! We had a few latecomers, so decided that we would explore this level a bit just in case there were anymore but I don't think there will be anymore coming. Azrael seems to be obsessed with opening this box, he really wants to know what's inside for some reason. After that I guess we head on down to the next level and see whats on it. I'm guessing you guys already killed some of the creatures we've been experiencing on that level? We worked out they are drawn to light! Like moths!" Karen grinned, the concept seemed funny to her, but it would mean they would have to use caution when using light sources for exploring.

((Read back, I'd say that's... pretty much what happened :P but trying to decipher Riida's crazy text is also rather difficult (no offense intended Riida) as well as the fact you posted yourself that you 'ran back' to the others. If you were on the 100th floor and we were on the 99th wouldn't that mean you would be 'running forward' to the others? Well, it hardly matters anyway, we've regrouped, are on the 99th floor and opening a box (which I guess we will have to wait for Ivernus to post again to see what's in the box, he said he has an idea for what is actually in the box, so best wait for him to reply with the box opening). In the mean time we could always find out more about each other?))

"So how far down did you guys go before you came back?" Karen asked Renaldo.

"Hmm..." replied Karen, not liking the way Lelouch glared at her as though she was being intrusive, but decided to let it slide. "The thing is they are attracted to light, so there are probably a lot more that didn't make themselves known to you, although I could be wrong. I say we keep our eyes peeled on every level, it's better to be safe than sorry..."

"Well, after going through all that struggle, I'd like to know what that crate has in it..." Devin said glaring off into the darkness looking for the slightest movement. He hoped nothing like this would happen again since his arm felt like it was about to fall off, and he had about 20 scratches covering his body.

"I need to rest..." Devin said and walked back into the dimly lit room and sat against the wall.

"I'm fine, just some scratches from those damn things legs..." Devin said looking down at his arms and legs, he felt a little weak, but stood. "Anyway whats next?" He said looking on down the hallway that was ahead. He didn't think he would get hurt this much in the first few hours...

"Here, wait. Let me put some antibacterial ointment on those cuts. Who knows what pathogens those things are carrying!" Karen said to Devin worriedly.

"Okay, okay, if you insist...but let me do it." Devin said and snatched the ointment from Karen and started rubbing a small bit on each cut until he was covered in it. "Happy?" Devin said and pulled the spear off his back to search the room up ahead. "I'm gonna check this room, if there's too many of those things or something, I'll get out." Devin said standing near the door.

"Do you need someone to go with you?" asked Karen, the others seemed preoccupied with the box opening that was taking several days it seemed to actually open ((>=())

"I guess there to busy to help, but you could come if you want." Devin said peeking into the room.

"Hmm...I don't see anything, but its so dark how could I?" Devin started to push the door open, but stopped as he heard some scratching on the door. "Maybe...we should be ready. I'll push the door open with my spear."

"Alright" replied Karen standing a few paces behind him, her hand resting on her syringe belt.

((LOL I just realised how ironic this rp is for me. I have a phobia of getting needles... like a real clinical phobia and here I am just stabbing things with needles full of parasites... oh dear))

After another stab, the wood finally cracked and gave way, the last part of the lock falling to the ground. Checking to make sure nothing else was keeping the lid closed, Azrael pushed open the lid as the others came over to see what they had just fought for (except for Devin and Karen obviously). As the lid fell to the ground, Azrael laid eyes on...well he wasn't sure what they were at first, they seemed to be some sort of...cansiters he guessed, stacked in the box. Lifting one up his eyes caught something on the side in the dim light and turned to look at it. Whistling softly, he spotted about 6 different warning symbols on the side, ranging from Extremely flammable, to extremely poisonous and some he didnt even recognise.
Placing the canister back he noticed a peice of paper taped to the side of the box and ripped it off to read it, noticing it looked like some sort of nort left by someone. 'Wrong crate send, return to Research and Development 9'. "Well it looks like we found a box of incredibly dangerous chemicals...any of you know a good use for these?" Azrael said, standing up and facing the group again

"Hmm i have no idea what it is but i Guess we could use it as a bomb if the worst happened.

"If we did use it as a bomb we'd have to pretty careful about it...With this many chemicals, some of which we dont even know what they are, the explosion could be quite large, possibly enough to cause some structural damage to the tower." Azrael decided not to go on from there, it was quiet obvious what would happen if to much of the lower structure was compremised.
"At the very least we could probably use the canisters individually, never know what we might find on the lower levels.

"But how would we empty them?" Renaldo asked.

[Ivernus]

"Theres some valves at the top which you unscrew to let the chemicals out slowly, alot of them are poisonous though so its probably best we dont see if it works for now. As for turning them into a bomb...I could create a workaround." Taking a moment to think about it, he picked up a canister to help him show the process "Theres small gaps around the valve, probably to reduce the flow of chemicals from escaping. I could stack this gaps with some gunpowder, link 'em up with a fuse and it'd be ready. The gunpowder should rupture the tank, causing whats inside to ignite and explode.
