I've looked around the forums a bit, played the game all the way throu a couple times( didn't like how my island turned out the first time so restarted :D ). I Personally like the game as is, and would hate to see outright combat in this. If people want RTS or TBS(Games like Starcraft/Warcraft Tribalwars/Travian) they should go play those. This is more of a creative game. As such the island is currently limited. Not that their isn't a lot of room to work with, but after playing for a few hours you can have the game beat, decorations up, and an entirely self sufficient island(mines actually playing itself while i type this  )

So I have a couple suggestions/improvements.
First is leave the base game as is, plenty to do until you beat the game. Except for maybe adding in a few new quests\items its great as is for the space given.

Secondly add either more land or a new island entirely. My island for example is crawling with pirates, and lots of pandas/monsters/bunnies/foxes chopping wood and mining gold, whos to say it could be put to use outside of the island. Pirates make ships and use ships as well as docks ect. Why not include something like this, or even the ability to build a dock bridge to another island. Either way this could give a gateway to make more land and content.

Thirdly, on the new land mass\area you could throw in a whole new story, or maybe even new races. Lets say you decide to leave the original island in the hands of some capable members or your wife and set out to explore a little(or maybe play as the pirate girl setting out to find new land, give girls a chance to play a female char lol..) upon finding the new land you might meet new creatures or find another place that got hit by a plague. Maybe it wasn't dear and monsters this time. Possibly throw in a new kind of weapon against this new threat and others. Who knows we might even find the home of the pandas o.O. Maybe the plagues not even a plague persay, like theirs an active volcano and you have to work out a way to stop/devert the lava from destroying the town again or the new one you just built(this could involve actual motes like water, or buckets of water, or even digging ditches to funnel the magma into the sea.

If the ship idea got used, the original content would make it so people know how to play and possible allow a multi-player feature down the road. Like joining up with a friend whos also completed his island on tackling another island together?

Just a few ideas that i think would fit in with current play :).

Thanks for all the positive feedback, bunch of ideas flood my head the more I play this game lol.

As for the boring comment, yeah the gameplays a bit slow but it also doesn't take more then a couple hours to complete the game as is. That's why I think it should be left alone except for a few extra quests. Basically make it a type of tutorial, that after complete unlocks the rest of the game. The games base enjoyment right now is customization. I've looked at quite a few different peoples islands and not a single one is the same. Not even remotely similar except for the base things. That's part of what makes the game so unique and makes it fun.

For instances you complete said island, get on a boat and land on a 'deserted island' with a banana tree. You find a monkey(new race) who explains a great catastrophe occured there, the only thing that survived it was him, the banana tree, and lets say the store he packed in his pocket. Starts off like normal, you start building up buying necessities(being as you just built up another island you took some booty\money\supplies with you), then vultures(new dear and or monster) starts eating up your food. However when you drop a bomb they fly into the air. The monkeys give you a net, you then use nets to stop vultures, however you might catch workers or take out crops if you miss. Slowing income ect. Then the screen shakes and the monkey says the catastrophe is re-occuring as a volcano erupts, now you have to use buckets of water/make ditches for the volcano. As this island expands more volcanoes pop up, more vultures, maybe even sea beasts.

Point I'm getting to is the biggest thing we need to make the game more interesting isn't flooding our current island with tons of new monsters enemies and items when theres just enough space as is to make it nice with what we got, but new islands or more land for the extra content to be used in. Various things could be used just to throw in new island\expansions to our existing island, like an underwater volcano forms a new island that you build a bridge too with wood, but now you gotta contend with volcanoes on that part of the island. With more spaces comes more possibilities.

Actually I think that we don't need more stuff, we need new stuff. For instance, someone had suggested an inn that workers would go to if they were unhappy, after going to the inn they would come back. Those ideas can make bunni a better game.

I'd have to argue with you on that, we need more islands or land if there gonna add a lot more items. Now a hotel wouldn't exactly make much since, but maybe housing of some-kind besides the race specific houses could work, maybe more houses for more bunnies ect.

Of course we need more land in the future, but just having land isn't going to make Bunni a better game.

That's why I was saying to add a few quests and items to the base game as is, but if they add more races, enemies, and obstacles more land is gonna be needed to make it all work out. What if they doubled the amount of stuff in-game stores buildings ect, but gave us 1 more small branching island? It'd be difficult to experience it all without giving some stuff up. While that can be good, I think they need to expand the land as they expand the content.

More things to do, races to use, shops to explore, ect and more land to cover.

Everything you are saying is true, and new ideas are the most important.

I noticed when you start playing the game and your trying to harvest stuff quickly. Its to quick and you have to replant trees and mines and even food. So you you either have to add more trees or hills or take a worker or two away. Why not have another class of workers that pops bubbles and replants those objects right where they were. Could even add a downside, lets say a monster or deer pops up. It should also open those.

I would also enjoy just normal citizens, maybe they do something maybe not. Could just be for looks and that would be awesome. Maybe you get a new island and your told you need to build an actual town which does something...helps with a score system not in place yet...increases happy meter. or the villagers give you special small quests to you. "give me an apple tree please!" stuff like that.

Those actually sound like some pretty good ideas. Occasional even with multiple plantings i have to replant workers doing that for me so i can concentrate on other things would be cool. Might even help during deer invasions. Bomb yourself, the works if they lived replant :-D.

As for the town, so far the only houses we've seen contribute to the game like bunny house ect, and buildings are only stores. Not sure how they could make an entire town functional.
