Decorating your islands.

While there are some items made for decorating, they are few, and most of them are so outstanding that they can't (in my opinion) be used too much. Still, I find it funny to make my islands pretty, and I've done the best I can with what is offered.

The most annoying bug for me right now is that the heart-tower won't be filled if it's blown up and rebuilt somewhere else, even though all hearts will show if you click on it.

When you press the save-button while being signed in, a box will appear which tells you that the game has been saved and so on. In that same box there is a URL which leads you to your islands, just like my link there.

It's very peaceful but everyone is busy busy busy! I was working on making each separate community completely self sufficient. I think I got all the quirks worked out but there are some bugs. It will take a while for some of the areas to "warm up" so to speak, like the monster mining community in the center. I love just picking a community and watching the animals go do their own thing.

The fox mining community directly south of the starting position occasionally has some problems with over mining. Once one rock pile goes, it's game over. Likewise the middle northern logging forest has some problems with over logging but it won't stop wood harvesting production. I used to have an issue with random explosions but I think I took care of all of that.

I also was thinking about deleting all those statues and putting in a mini-community of panda bears who have plenty of work to do, but do nothing other than stand around and dream of flowers.

I think I have all the animals here living together. Foxes, pirate bunnies, monsters, pandas and deer. I believe in a healthy deer population. You might notice that I have no regular bunnies working for me. The fact is, I got all the other animals to do work FOR the bunnies so they can spend all day downtown, shopping for things like pearl necklaces and flowers.

There was a strange problem with the path directly south of my mini plumb grove. I set up the gem statues IN the pathway, saved and came back. When I came back later the path was shifted from where it was before and a few other paths were created. Weird. I'll have to bomb that but doing so is kind of a pain because of all the items I must reset.

I was thinking of making a new world today. This game is so addicting!

Just got every achievement, at the moment all my trees are gone and it appears my mining system is slowly starting to collapse.
Haven't bothered with a fix because I'm getting rid of it all in a second.

It isn't fantastic, but I like my church and fruit trees. It actually took me 30 minutes to get the island back to order when I first was going to copy the link, because first a deer appeared and I ended up blowing up half of my apple tree grove, and then I spent so long replanting them that my plum tree grove started getting chopped down and 3 monsters and a deer appeared, which made me blow up a good chunk of the grove, forcing me to replant. I took a couple workers off of the ironwood tree forests to the north so this won't happen again I hope.:rolleyes:

The thing I think it needs most is more variation. Right now the forest islands have only forests, and the same goes for the hills. Put some trees in there, make it stand out and look prettiful. :)

yea, i havent actually started working on them ;P (had to restart a few minutes after saving, couse a deer broke louse in my fruit garden, xD)

and i will post it again, probably later today so you can see the finished fruit garden (decorative trees around the fruit trees with normal white flowers in the middle)

I planned it somewhat like a real city, with independent districts for commerce, logging, and mining in the eastern section of the island. The western part's mostly countryside with places like "Monument Fields" and "The Great Ironwood Forest" (With it's own Plum grove).

-the first island you start at is "The island of Love"

-the second island (south of "The island of Love") is Treasure Keep. (not finished, will add pirates when they stop moving south, and pirate buildings.

-The Third Island (south again) is Bunni Town with Panda Paradise, (the pandas were originally in the middle of their forest, but a bug gave them the power to walk on water like Jesus, just while sleeping) the bunnies have also south.

-The Fourth island (east from the third) is called the Fruit Garden. try to guess why. there is one deer hidden in that island.

-The Fifth island (north of the Fruit garden) isn't finished, it remains a resource center until the game gets an update with more variety.

-The sixth island (west of the Fifth) is the home village for Bunnis, Foxes and Monsters.

-The Seventh island (north & west of the sixth) is the village resource gathering area, earning them the money they can use at Bunni Town.
(3 pirates working in the woods, will be replaced by monsters/foxes/bunnies when a bug is fixed)

so basically 1 island needs a huge fix, while the rest is about finished.

is it good?

@Huggyboo: your island is probably my favorite, or was before you changed it because of the bug I'm also having problems with. really love it so keep it up when bug fixes/updates arrive!

As far as i'm aware the idea for the starting island is unique with it being a village of sorts with the gem statut as the town sqaure. South of which is the shoping district

The forest is run by pandas with the bunni manager and the mines are run by foxs with bunni managers. The central main mine is run by pirrate bunni and his pet monster they also watch over the other two mines. Pete was the former head and the current pirate bunni is his son.

The orchard to the north has a ouple of windmills wich harvest the fruit as you can see the tees are at varying stagesof development though im hoping for some more pear trees.

The fountain is located in lilly isle and the water from the fountain is blessed by the 4 holy bunnis. To the east the is the monument to the bunni good with his three gaurds who protect the church.

West of the fountain is the park where the resendents go to relax.

Anyway i hopeyou like it and any constructive criticism is more than welcome

Rosedragon, your monster isle is so cool! You should of had a few monsters that run rampant and do what they want. Although that would be hard to make sure your rocks and trees don't turn into bubbles. I especially liked what you did with your non-bunny workers.

In the middle is where the bunnies and their friends live under the shade of the plum trees. West, across the the bridge, is downtown, where the bunnies go to shop. North of downtown is the red light district, home of Pirate Pete and the Tower of Love. Everyone goes to work on the southern islands, lumberjacks to the west, miners to the east, always watchful of what may be living in the apple orchard separating them. In the north is the great ironwood forest. Hidden among the trees is a forgotten bunny statue built long ago and the remains of an old gold mine. On an island near the church is a memorial to how the bunnies first met that the bunnies pass on their way to renew their vows.

One island belongs to pirate Pete, as a payment for his loyal service, it has been turned into a thick forest.

Another has been used for my collection of (specially diverse) servants, kept continuously sleeping in a field of roses.

Another is the market place, where most goods and services can be purchased.

The island to the south is where I keep my collection of rare and exclusive items.

There are also islands for my legendary plum grove, and the tower of love.

Coriander and Pirate Peach are free to wander the island.

You have to be careful about tree placement. I once placed two trees too close together and I could get the items that dropped from one of them. The little ghost kept on popping up and saying I had found a free item. It was a good item too.

you are right the heart tower is annoying it takes so long but i love the game all the rest except the deer the make me hopping mad (pun intended) they eat every thing thank you.

Here's my island.

I put a lot of thought into it.

I hope you can get most of the details, but in case you don't:

1. The island that is filled with statues is an imitation of Easter Island. There is only one tree on the island because the native people of Easter Island collapsed their civilization because of deforestation. Pirate Pete is on that island because we can't blow him up :P He also represents the remaining people on Easter Island today. I originally didn't want to have any trees, but decided to put a Little Green beside Pirate Pete so he wouldn't be lonely. :D

2. On the church island, there's some super obvious decorations. On each side of the church building I put a white statue because white symbolizes purity and is appropriate for weddings! I moved the Love Tower to the end of the red carpet. Fits perfectly :D I lined up fountains following the Love Tower b/c I didn't know where else to put them :P I think it fits nicely. I also overlapped roses and posies, so it looks like they grew together. I also did alternating red and white flower trees. My theme colours were white and red.

In the wedding short, there were bunnies, so I needed bunnies there. I could have just made them sleep, but I didn't think of that then :P I put them to work. No shopping for bunnies! The forest is also there to kind of conceal the church building, so that it's like a secret love, haha.

I put the mines behind the church building and the black monsters to show that behind every beautiful facade, there is a dark side. The monsters have to toil in the mines in order for the ruling to achieve his wedding. The black contrasts with the white of the bunnies.

3. My DOWNTOWN! I organized the stores from increasing levels to the waterfront, so the gold store and diamond gem store faces the water. Waterfront real estate is more expensive! Furthermore, these two stores are separated by a red-white road from the other stores. They are in an exclusive neighbourhood. The red-white road is a tourist attraction in the city. Red-white roads also cover every bridge out of downtown. There's the suburbs as well! The bunni, fox, and monster houses are further away. They have flower-filled front yards and the back faces an artificial forest, made out of rare plant items. This layer separates them from the harsh environment that labourers work in. Black monsters (how sad) work 24/7 in the field to support the city lifestyle.

4. The fountain amidst tulips and fruit trees just something I thought of. I left a deer there! The deer isn't destructive enough to eat all the tulips, so it's actually a pleasant decoration. Also did alternating colours!

5. Another tip: When logging, if you don't like to see the sawmill, place the central tree before the sawmill, and it'll cover most of the sawmill. The large dark coloured tree sometimes covers it completely.

6. Another design tip: If you have fountains and don't know where to put them, you can place it RIGHT beside a sawmill or mine and it'll look like a water bowl or pool for the workers! It lowers the public's suspicion of slavery.

7. On the starting island, I put some stuff together in a new way and came up with something quite good!

Wow, you've got lots of clever ideas there - it's possibly one of the nicest islands I've ever seen. I especially like the symbolic meanings behind some of your choices, like the dark monster dens behind the fancy wedding facade. Awesome!

Another thing I like is the fountains next to the mines. I'm not sure of the intended meaning, but they reminded me of the deep mine lakes we have at home, and of the nuclear power plants that need water cooling. So, I'm curious, why are the fountains there?

I spotted a dear in your orchard. Was that planned, or got there accidentally?

The group of foxes quickly decimated the 12(!) forests around the single sawmill, now they're all sleeping, with only bubbles around - so, while the setup looks pretty, it doesn't seem to be very sustainable. I guess it's difficult to balance the two.

Overall, I had a great impression, and your island shows yet again how creativity can bring novelty into even the oldest stuff. Thanks for sharing! :)

Possibly one of the nicest? I'm flattered! I'm happy you get the symbolism! I was afraid that it might be out of the league for this forum's users. I thought most players were young children. :P Well maybe you are one. Maybe I am one as well.

Oh those are wonderful interpretations of the fountains beside mines. I originally thought of them as a pool for drinking, like those in horse ranches. This just goes to show us that people with different backgrounds come to unique and interesting conclusions when given the same information.

The deer dropped out of a tree! Haha! I guess you can say it's planned because I chose to click on the bubble. I can't really control where deers go and when they come, but I welcome deers very much. They add diversity! I had two deers there before, but I accidentally bombed them.

TIP! I put so many forests because it seems that when forests overlap, they regenerate quicker. I'm not sure if it's true though. If it does work, then this can allow us to intensely use a piece of land. If you put too many, however, it'll be easier for the workers to get to the central tree/rock and turn it into bubbles. I guess that was the mistake I made. I had experimented through trial and error to get the optimal number. It's better to stay under, but I like to push to my land's full potential. If the forest collapses, I only have to repeat the set-up, except take one or two workers away. Usually this does it. However, there are those rare instances where things work out just right for the forest to collapse, when it hasn't for a long time. It's weird.
