The McDonalds in China/Japan are pretty healthy at least moreso than ours, or so I've heard.

Yeah, I believe so. They also put fried eggs on their burgers.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle!

I say cardboard, its the new fast-food that sells boiled chopsticks, heated cardboard, and tasty left-overs from the trash bin. All edible.

Most fast food places foods are packed with preservatives, like it or not. So they don't lose so much money on waste food. Technically if it isn't past it's use-by date it can still be served. :D

Nomcious...

The new verb of the Bunni forums.

I have yet to try those wings. I shall have to grab some the next time I go to Wendy's.

There is nothing wrong with preservatives. Heck, gelatin is a preservative! SALT is a preservative. In this modern world, the word "preservative" is considered dirty. But when you get right down to it, preserving food from going bad has been around for as long as people have been making, well... FOODS! (Hence wax around cheese, beef jerky, sauer kraut, pickles etc.) There is nothing to fear from preservatives.

When you run a food industry not only do you have to sell the food and keep it from rotting in storage, (Which isn't a problem now with refrigeration) but you also HAVE to deliver the same quality across an entire continent. That means if I take a plane from the east coast all the way over to the west coast, and stop in at a Wendy's or whatever, the burger will, and should, taste exactly the same. It's expected. Preservatives help do this, allowing more "shelf" time for shipping and storage.

Also preservatives help extend cooked food's useability by a few hours which can mean the difference of profit or red ink.

Just throwing that out there.
