I am generally a fan of thrillers, and more precisely the work of Michael Connely and Lee Child.

I haven't read any real books in a while, mostly manga, but before that I read lots of non-fiction and theoretical science books like flatland. Before that I was reading lots of sci-fi, the space odyssey series is probably my favorite right now.

Let's see, the ones that are still going that I read: bleach, naruto, one piece, liar game, Alive - The Final Evolution, Franken Fran , Hourou Musuko, Mirai Nikki, and probably something else I can't remember. I may start reading FMA to go along with the new anime, but I'm not sure yet.
Good ones that have ended: Death note, Bokurano....and that's all I can think of right now although I'm sure there's more.

Ah, most of those are some very good series. Some of them are also really annoying to edit. :)

Heh... you've read a book that doesn't exist? :p
Speaking of Lovecraft, I've been a big fan of his works ever since I was a kid. Nowadays I read Forgotten Realms stuff (Salvatore) when I have a little free time.

It does to exist. When Lovecraft was born in 1890, I implanted our lost history into his mind, which bubbled back up when his brain has developed enough to interpret it through dreams.
It's as simple as that.

Sara douglass is my favourite fantasy author, and is really I great. She's an Aussie writer and has the most well thought out stories that I have ever read honestly. I've read the Axis Trilogy and the Wayfarer Redemption which is a follow on trilogy to Axis. Also have read the Troy Game which is a quadrilogy. She is bringing out another follow on trilogy to Wayfarer redemption, I'm waiting on the third book to come out D=
Anyway all of her stories are so great to read because the chracters not only go on physical journeys throughout the series but they go on inner journeys as well and change from their experiences which is what I really love about her witing style. I just enjoy how the characters continue to develop throughout the whole story and don't just develop at the start and remain consistent (which is what I find with a lot of stories). You also feel great empathy with her characters, you can actually like and hate them as people. Sometimes I just hate the characters so much but then when I feel such emotion over it I realise that I'm actually really getting into the story and I know what I am reading is actually engaging me.
I also love Stephan King, he has such a unique style of writing, and love how ambiguous the endings are and how they are just left hanging in the air for you to finish for yourself. I really loved the movie Dreamcatcher but the book is soooo much better. My favourite book of his so far is Cell.
Other than that recently I have not read too much. I'm more into non-fiction books these days, read a lot about psychology from my text books and stuff. Never really got into comics and manga. When I was younger though I read just about anything, from encyclopedias to Animorphs XD but these days I don't have a lot of time for reading unfortunately.

My favorite author is...hm...I actually don't know. James Patterson is pretty good. Mary Stewart is high up there too, I guess. Rick Riordan, maybe...I'm a huge fantasy nerd. **grins** Then, of course, Agatha Christie is somewhere up there, because you can't go wrong with a good murder mystery.
